Matthew O’Regan
@matthew_oregan · EFL and non-league football · Columns, newsletters and podcasts
Research snapshot · 16 October 2026 · Evidence assessment, not a recommendation
Free football columns, newsletters and podcasts alongside a paid outright magazine. Publisher records exist; a dated odds-drop response is useful evidence, but complete cross-service P/L and typical follower prices remain unverified.

Several outlets.
Separate records.
Who he is
Matthew O’Regan ↗ publishes football analysis with an EFL and non-league focus. His current X biography lists writing for Grosvenor Sport, Oddschecker, Sporting Life and Non League News, alongside co-hosting Bunch of Punts. These roles establish his publishing activity, not independently verified profitability.
Free and paid work
OLBG’s Non-Leaguer ↗ is a free weekly email covering National League and other non-league football. His linked Pre-Season Outright Magazine ↗ displayed £14.99 as a one-time purchase on 16 October 2026, with a private Telegram channel. That is a separate product, not a monthly fee for all his public tips.
What to compare
Column selections, podcast picks, newsletter bets and magazine outrights should be assessed separately. Combining headline wins from different outlets risks counting the same selection twice and obscuring the stakes behind long-priced bets.
Public records exist.
Coverage needs checking.
Odds Now publishes bet-level entries
Odds Now’s tipping record ↗ is publicly accessible and lists dates, selections, odds, stakes, returns and running totals. The visible entries inspected included August and September 2025 bets with stakes ranging from 0.25 to 1.5 points. This is a publisher record for that outlet, not a complete lifetime ledger across every service. We have not independently reconciled the totals or verified follower execution.
Separate season snapshots
In his 16 October 2026 results post ↗, screenshots show OLBG Newsletter: 49 bets, +32.43u and 58.96% ROI; Bunch of Punts: 80 bets, +57.16u and 80.54% ROI; Football Betting Club: 19 bets, +14.69u and 79.41% ROI. These are operator-shared snapshots, not independently reconciled ledgers. The exact date ranges, filtering and overlap between selections were not established, so the figures are not combined or treated as lifetime performance.
The older tracker link
The Bet Analytix link previously listed in our directory ↗ returned “Bankroll not found” on 16 October 2026. We have removed it as the directory’s working P/L link and linked the accessible Odds Now record instead. The error does not establish when or why the bankroll became unavailable, or that results were deliberately removed.
What is still unverified
A complete current record covering every newsletter, podcast, column and paid selection has not been established. The different services may overlap. No combined ROI, verified subscriber profit or lifetime drawdown is assigned here.
A price moved.
He said he would void it.
A documented response to unavailable odds
On 16 October 2026 ↗, Matthew said he would void a Wingate newsletter selection because the odds had shortened sharply between writing and delivery. This is a concrete acknowledgement of the gap between a writer’s price and a reader’s opportunity. We have not inspected the eventual settlement to confirm the void was applied.
What that example does and does not show
The post supports a price-conscious response in that instance. It does not measure how often prices move, how many readers get the quoted odds, or the stakes bookmakers accept. Newsletter delivery time and the exact market matter; a winning selection is not enough to establish a profitable following experience.
Positive feedback.
Limited following evidence.
A follower thanks him for a winning tip
On 18 August 2026 ↗, @StubbsRobbie thanked Matthew after Dagenham scored late. The parent post listed Hereford, Hednesford, Merthyr and Dagenham to score two or more; Matthew replied about Hereford as well. This is positive feedback on a particular selection, not a verified record of the follower’s odds, stakes or long-term profit.
External editorial coverage
Betting Kingdom ↗ discusses his work across several publishers and praises the breadth of his free output, while saying it had not located P/L sheets. That older observation should not override the accessible Odds Now record. Its page shows zero reader reviews; its editorial percentage is not a customer rating.
Evidence still needed
A sustained following trial would be more informative than short replies after individual winners. We have not established a representative sample of customer returns or price capture. Neither his publishing reach nor the absence of such a sample proves service quality.
